The Parish
The Church of England parish of Walton St John encompasses two wonderful churches: St John’s Walton, and St Peter’s Holymoorside. We are part of the Anglican Communion in the Diocese of Derby.
We are dedicated to serving our communities with faith and compassion. Both churches offer regular worship services and also actively engage in local outreach. Together we embody the values of the Anglican tradition, providing a friendly, welcoming space in which we worship and grow in faith.
Faith
Church isn’t just a building; it’s about people following Jesus. At St. John’s, you’ll find folks who’ve been on this journey for years, others just starting to explore, and many more at various stages of their faith journey. Everyone is valued and loved.
We recognize we’re all imperfect, relying on God’s grace and forgiveness through Jesus. So, if you’re not perfect, you’ll fit right in.
Worship

Prayer
Prayer is the heartbeat of the church. While personal prayer is important, Jesus promised something special happens when we pray together. This is central to our worship.
Join us for Tuesday Evening Prayer at 7:30PM; a mid-week chance for our church family to pray together, be attentive to God, and lift up the ministry and life of St. John’s.
